Call for Abstracts
Abstracts
The deadline for abstract submission is February 27, 2026, but we encourage submission of abstracts as soon as possible. Please prepare your abstract (for both oral and poster presentations) according to the provided instructions below.

Abstracts will be reviewed by members of the Program Committee. The number of oral or poster presentations may be limited according to schedule requirements. The Program Committee will contact abstract submission authors about abstract acceptance.
We strongly encourage IAA25 presenters to submit their work for publication in Freshwater Crayfish.

Instructions for Abstract Submission

All font Arial 12 pt.

Title

Authors: Last name (upper case letters) & Surname; bold the name of the speaker or presenter.

Address: Physical address and email address.
-
Abstract: Maximum 300 words.

Keywords: Maximum five
-
Please indicate either poster or oral presentation.

Please indicate if you are a student.

Abstracts should be sent as an electronic WORD file to Caitlin Bloomer at bloomer3@illinois.edu by February 27, 2026.
Instructions for Oral Presentations

Oral presentation time slots will be 15 minutes, 12 minutes to present and 3 minutes for questions. Moderators will strictly adhere to the time requirements.

Presentations must be Microsoft PowerPoint (.ppt, .pptx) or Adobe Acrobat (.pdf) files.

The meeting venue will provide projector, laptop, laser pointer, and podium microphone.

Please bring talks on a thumb/jump-drive.
-
You will NOT be able to use your personal laptop.
Instructions for Poster Presentations

Posters are to be arranged as a single large display in portrait or landscape orientation, however, maximum poster size is 48 inches wide x 36 inches height (1.2 x 0.9 m). No exceptions please.

The maximum 48-inch width includes any border areas on the poster.

Posters should include a title, author(s) full name, and author(s) affiliation.

Multiple-panel posters will not be accepted.
