Symposium 1-Day
Field Trip

The IAA25 field trip will be on Wednesday, June 3rd. Buses will leave the hotel Wednesday morning to take everyone to the Cajun fishing town of Lafitte, Louisiana, about an hour outside New Orleans, for a guided 90-minute airboat tour. You will be able to see south Louisiana’s beautiful swamps and wildlife and of course experience the iconic reptile of the swamps, the American Alligator. Other swamp wildlife inhabitants frequently observed during tours include Bald Eagles, Blue Herons, hawks, raccoons, deer, and several species of turtles.

Banquet Dinner

The IAA25 banquet dinner will be held at Port Orleans Brewery on the evening of Thursday, June 4th from 5:00 – 10:00 PM.  Buses will begin take people to the hotel and brewery.  There is no extra cost for banquet dinner.  The IAA25 banquet dinner will let you eat what you do research on, crayfish!  We will have a traditional south Louisiana crawfish boil with 300 pounds of Louisiana crawfish with all the fixings!  There will also be vegan and vegetarian food options available.
